In 1701, Lord Asano Naganori of the Ako Domain in Hyogo Prefecture became the target of a treacherous scheme devised by the arrogant bureaucrat Kira Yoshinaka, who took advantage of Asano's frankness. After two years of plotting, Oishi Kuranosuke, alongside his son Matsu No Jou and a loyal group of ronin, courageously avenged Lord Asano by eliminating Kira, seeking justice for their fallen master.
